The American Democracy Minute Radio News Report & Podcast for July 14, 2026

New reporting suggests that Texas Attorney General, U.S. Senate candidate and strident “Election Integrity” advocate, Ken Paxton, may have voted in six elections using an address where he no longer lives.
The Texas Tribune and ProPublica are reporting that Attorney General Paxton is a registered voter at an address in Collin County, where he lived with his former wife until 2024, according to divorce proceedings. Evidence uncovered in the reporting suggests that Paxton voted six times under the Collin County address since that time.
While his residence for the past two years has not yet been confirmed, a Denton County house purchased in February 2026 by a blind trust associated with Paxton, appears to be receiving mail, and a recent podcast video with Paxton may have been filmed there. Trouble is, Paxton voted under his Collin County address in the March 2026 primary and May runoff elections.
Texas House Bill 1243 made intentional illegal voting a 2nd degree felony in 2023.
His campaign told the Dallas Morning News that Paxton is QUOTE, “… a lawful, registered Texas voter in full compliance with the law.” In introducing a voter fraud tip-line in February, AG Paxton said in a statement, QUOTE, “We will stop at nothing to uncover and stop any illegal voting activity.”
