Texas Legislature Blocked From Enacting Manipulated Congressional Redistricting Maps as 50 Democrats Flee the State and Possible Arrest

In protest of Congressional redistricting maps blatantly manipulated by the Texas Assembly to gerrymander five more GOP seats, more than 50 Democratic legislators fled the state to prevent a quorum and block the new maps.  Arrest warrants have now been issued for the Texas House Democrats who fled.

Must County Boards Certify an Election?  Yes, Says Unanimous Georgia Appeals Court.

Eighth Circuit ‘Private Right of Action’ Ruling Temporarily Halted by Justice Kavanaugh in Case by North Dakota Tribal Nations

In May, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that individuals, in this case Native Americans, do not have a “private right of action” in voting rights cases. An emergency stay was granted July 22nd, and it’s likely headed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
