North Carolina’s mid-decade gerrymandering appears to have prevailed against pro-voter court challenges, and party allegiance has apparently prevailed in the Indiana Senate, which may gerrymander its congressional map after all.

Utah Judge Rejects Legislature’s Gerrymandered Congressional Map, Choosing a Map Which Follows the State Constitution Instead

In October, the Utah legislature proposed yet another gerrymandered Congressional map which violated state constitutional rules for redistricting. Nov. 10th, the judge overseeing the case rejected the legislature’s map, choosing a constitutionally-compliant one instead.

The North Carolina legislature passed a new gerrymandered congressional map October 22nd, likely adding a GOP congressional seat to offset expected 2026 midterm losses in the U.S. House. Legislators diluted Black voting power to do it, but say it was for partisan reasons.
