We’ve had numerous reports on the Electoral Count Reform Act, the legislation updating the 1887 rules & procedure after a Presidential election to help prevent another subversion of the election. Tuesday, the Act was attached to the omnibus spending bill expected to pass before the holiday break. That’s good news for those who care about protecting Democracy.
The January 6th committee criminal referrals for former President Donald Trump may fuel further investigation of he and his allies, but there is still Big Lie fallout in states around the country. This includes Arizona, which has its own election deniers in Mark Finchem & Kari Lake.
The recent North Carolina U.S. Supreme Court case, Moore vs. Harper, isn’t the only case making news from the Tar Heel state this month. Friday, two other cases in the North Carolina Supreme Court were decided on gerrymandering and the freedom to vote.
Monday, December 19th, 1 pm Eastern, the January 6th Committee holds its last hearing, with some additional witness information from members of the U.S. Secret Service, and a vote on criminal referrals – including for former President Trump.
