DeSantis Congressional Map Diluting Black Voting Power Heads to Florida Supreme Court After Being Upheld by Appeals Court

A North Florida Congressional district map pushed by Governor Ron DeSantis which diluted Black voting power, was upheld by a Florida appeals court December 1st. The 10-judge panel ruled that plaintiffs didn’t prove the map violated Florida’s constitutional amendment prohibiting racial gerrymandering.

New Hampshire Supreme Court Won’t Hear Future Gerrymandering Cases, Abandoning Fair Representation for State’s Voters

Saying the state constitution doesn’t specifically prohibit partisan gerrymandering, the New Hampshire Supreme Court ruled November 29th that state courts have no jurisdiction and would not hear future gerrymandering cases.
