The FBI raided a Fulton County, GA election facility January 28th under a Trump DOJ initiated, and federal court authorized, warrant. In a highly-irregular action, voter rolls, sealed 2020 ballots and election machine documents were seized and taken out of state in an apparent effort to find already-debunked widespread voter fraud.
President Donald Trump and his most zealous supporters maintain widespread voter fraud resulted in his 2020 election loss in Georgia and other swing states. In a full audit of all ballots cast, the Georgia Secretary of State’s office found no evidence of widespread fraud. In 2020’s Trump v. Kemp, a federal judge denied the Trump campaign’s request to decertify the Georgia results.
Wednesday’s warrant, signed by federal Magistrate Judge Catherine M. Salinas, authorized agents to seize all physical ballots, all voting machine verification tapes, all ballot images and all voter rolls from the 2020 General Election in Fulton County.
WXIA-TV reports local FBI sources as saying the ballots and election records will be taken back to Virginia, suggesting the action was spearheaded by FBI Washington officials. FBI Assistant Director Andrew Bailey and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard were filmed by WXIA at the location.
Georgia’s U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff said in a statement, “From Minnesota to Georgia, on display to the whole world is a President spiraling out of control, wielding federal law enforcement as an unaccountable instrument of personal power and revenge.”
