Midterm Madness Week Looks at the Election Interference Playbook for the 2026 Midterm. The Administration Knows the Ball is in Your Court.

March 16, 2026March 16, 2026 Brian Beihl

A Special Message for My Listeners

I always look forward to March Madness for a chance to root on my Michigan State University Spartans. But this March, it’s a different sort of madness we’re concerned about.

We’ve just completed six reports looking at suspected voter suppression and election interference in the 2026 midterm election. Please take the time to listen, read the resources and get informed on the plays we might expect to prevent from voting, and how if that isn’t effective enough, tactics to interfere with the election results.

Midterm Madness Week: You May Be in a New Congressional District or Another Voting Precinct for the Midterm Election.  Know Before You Go.

Midterm Madness Week:  One-Third of Americans Used Mail-In Voting in 2024.  So Why is the Trump Administration Trying to End It?

Midterm Madness Week:  Could President Trump Deploy the U.S. Military or the National Guard at the Polls?

Midterm Madness Week:  ICE at Polling Places?  The Administration Sends Mixed Messages; Some States are Advancing Laws to Limit or Prohibit It.

Midterm Madness Week:  Could 2026 Midterm Ballots or Voting Machines be Seized by the Feds?  There are Concerning Signs.

Every American voter should be checking their registration, gathering their birth certificate, naturalization papers and passport, acquiring the requisite voter ID (it might not be what you used last time), and checking where and when to vote. Doing so now will ensure you will be able to vote, and have that vote count November 3rd.

Should you need assistance, check with your local election office, or visit the U.S. Election Assistance Commission’s How to Register And Vote in Your State. If you need assistance with locating vital documents, visit VoteRiders.org.

Yours in Democracy,

Brian Beihl
